Clinical findings of bovine mesotheliosis

Abstract

|
Clinical and pathohistological findings in l6 cattle with mesotheliosis were described : pearshaped abdominal outline, poor nutritional and growth condition, reduced milk yield, diarrhea, apathy, increased peatoneal fluid, dyspnea, multiple tumors to the visceral serosa of abdominal intestine, and papilliform growth of mesotheliomas. Asbestos plays an etiologic role in bovine mesotheliosis. A proposal is made to use bovine mesotheliosis as a screening monitor for the protection of man.
